September 6, 2009 – If you didn’t get a chance to make it out to Biloxi, Mississippi for Atlas Fights Cage Rage 2 this past Sunday night, you missed out on some amazing fights!
Some of the most talented emerging fighters from the Southeast Region gathered in Biloxi to show MMA fans what Cage Rage is all about. Ten non-stop professional cage fights were featured at the IP Casino Resort and Spa with two Atlas Fights title shots on the line.
Atlas Fights Matchmaker, Paul Andres Domenech, announced early at the fights that the fighter who walked away with the Atlas Fights Welterweight Championship would compete against one of Louisiana’s most talented 170lb. fighter, Charlie Rader. “I’m going to destroy whoever wins,” says Rader. Rader holds a professional record of 10-3 and is known for his vicious ground and pound.
Also in attendance was XFC’s Featherweight Champion, Jarrod “The Wild” Card from Jacksonville, Florida. Card will be fighting the Atlas Fights Featherweight Champion on February 6thth also.
The promotion was phenomenal and the fans were excited to see their favorite fighters compete against the best. Glenn Mattina, President of Atlas Fights, said that Cage Rage 2 would be the last fight at the IP for the year so that Atlas Fights can take a break through football season.
“Atlas Fights promoted seven fighting events in five months and we are so thankful to all the supporting fans, fighters, and everyone involved in allowing each event to be so successful,” says Mattina.
